Practice Accounts Manager - Step into a Key Leadership Role!

Working Hours: Full-time 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, in office or 4 days a week, in office

What You'll Be Doing:

• As the go-to person for your own portfolio of clients, you'll be responsible for:
• Reviewing and preparing financial statements in line with FRS 105 and FRS 102 (1A).
• Managing and nurturing a small team of accountants and trainees-some fully qualified.
• Offering sound advice on tax matters, liaising directly with clients on compliance and advisory issues.
• The breakdown is 70% Accounts, 30% Tax.
• Overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met across your client group.
• Regularly working with leading cloud-based systems including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
• This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client contact and wants to be trusted to lead their own area of the practice while benefiting from a knowledgeable senior leadership team who will support your career growth.

What We're Looking For:

We're keen to meet individuals who are either:

• Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA), or qualified by experience, with a strong background in UK accountancy practice.

You'll also bring:

• Current or recent experience working in a well-structured accounting practice
• High proficiency with UK GAAP, tax compliance, and accounts preparation
• Strong people management and mentoring skills
• Confident communication and a proactive mindset
