Job summary

More Than Accounts in Maidenhead is seeking a skilled Practice Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio. The role offers hybrid working, responsibilities across accounts and tax, and client relationship ownership from first contact onward.

You will handle accounts preparation, FRS 102/105 work, VAT, CIS and PAYE, with scope to develop ownership as the practice grows. This is a long-term, client-focused position in a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice across accounts and tax.
• t
• Experience producing finalised FRS 102 and FRS 105 accounts.
• Experience across VAT, CIS and PAYE.
• Client relationship management and portfolio development.
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent or Digita.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalise FRS 105 and FRS 102 accounts.
• Manage accounting requirements across a varied portfolio of individuals, partnerships and limited companies.
• Support corporate and personal taxation requirements.
• Work across VAT, CIS and PAYE.
• Build strong relationships and become a trusted point of contact for clients.
• Use financial information for practical guidance.
• Work across QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, FreeAgent and Digita.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure deadlines and compliance.
• Take ownership of new clients from onboarding to ongoing account management.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships as portfolio grows.
