Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting or finance role; practice experience advantageous.
• Strong understanding of general ledger management and reconciliations.
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of tax regulations or willingness to develop knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and well-organised work style.
• Good written and verbal communication with clients.
• Progress towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Carry out reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and process invoices.
• Ensure records comply with regulations and tax filings.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Respond to financial queries from clients and colleagues.
