Job summary

HB Partners Limited, a well-established accountancy practice near Petersfield, seeks AAT/ATT/ACCA qualified accountants to join its growing team on a permanent, full-time basis with hybrid working.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare and review accounts and tax returns, mentor staff, advise on tax efficiency and cashflow, and lead year-end meetings while liaising with HMRC. Hybrid model offers two remote days weekly and CPD support.

Qualifications

• Membership of a chartered professional body.
• Minimum of five years' experience in practice.
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT and FreeAgent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, submitting and reviewing accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies, including VAT and CIS where required
• Providing training, mentorship and technical guidance to the accounting team, reviewing their work and supporting technical development
• Advising clients on tax efficiency, cashflow, budgeting and pricing
• Leading year-end client meetings and conducting client fee reviews
• Acting as the primary point of liaison between clients and HMRC
• Managing a portfolio of clients

HB Partners Limited is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice based near Petersfield, who are currently seeking AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualified Accountants to join its expanding team. These are permanent, full-time positions offering hybrid working.

The practice provides accounting and tax services to a broad portfolio of small business clients, and is looking for technically strong, client-focused professionals to support its continued growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing, submitting and reviewing accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies, including VAT and CIS where required
• Providing training, mentorship and technical guidance to the accounting team, reviewing their work and supporting technical development
• Advising clients on tax efficiency, cashflow, budgeting and pricing
• Leading year-end client meetings and conducting client fee reviews
• Acting as the primary point of liaison between clients and HMRC
• Managing a portfolio of clients

Candidate requirements:

• Full membership of a chartered professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA or equivalent)
• A minimum of five years' experience in practice, managing a broad client base
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT and FreeAgent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly
