Job summary

Jdr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant for a small, well-established private practice on site. You will handle statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT, CIS, and Self-Assessment with strong technical knowledge and accuracy.

You will manage your own client portfolio, oversee accounts payable, and advise clients on financial management strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is office-based with modern facilities and study support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Practice Accountant or in a similar role within a professional services environment.
• Proven ability to produce and review statutory and management accounts with accuracy.
• Experience with VAT, CIS, Self-Assessment and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain client accounts using accounting software such as TAXCALCS, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial management tools.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports with precision and attention to detail.
• Manage your own Client Portfolio
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Support clients with financial services needs by offering guidance on financial management strategies and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies through diligent review and documentation.

Practice Accountant

required for this small very well established Private Practice - on site not hybrid

You must be used to Producing and demonstrating Strong technical knowledge across statutory accounts, management accounts bookkeeping, accounting, VAT, CIS, tax compliance, Self-Assessment and Bookkeeping.

Proven experience working as a Practice Accountant or in a similar role within a professional services environment.

You must have full right to work in the UK and the client does not offer sponsorship for this role.
