The Role:

We’re looking for a Textured Hair Champion to help lead Cantu’s PR and influencer marketing. You’ll manage standout campaigns, build meaningful industry relationships, and represent the brand in a way that resonates with the textured hair community.

This role is ideal for someone who brings lived experience, insight, and a personal connection to textured hair culture — ensuring our work is not only strategic but deeply authentic.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Campaigns: Support and deliver PR & influencer marketing strategies aligned with brand goals.
2. Relationships: Build and nurture strong ties with journalists, creators, stylists, and cultural changemakers in the textured hair space.
3. Influencer Partnerships: Identify talent, coordinate briefs, contracts, approvals, and content delivery.
4. Events: Lead creative concepting and execution for mailers, launches, and influencer events.
5. Press Office: Draft press releases, manage media outreach, respond to requests, and lead sample distribution.
6. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with social, brand, and creative teams for cohesive storytelling.
7. Reporting: Track KPIs, compile PR reports, and share competitor insights.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of PR experience, ideally within beauty, haircare, or lifestyle.
• Strong contacts across media, influencer, and textured hair networks.
• Proven success in influencer and event campaign delivery.
• Excellent communication, writing, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with precision and creativity.
• Deep familiarity with textured hair culture—ideally through lived experience—enabling you to represent the community with authenticity.
