Summary
Historic England is seeking a Public Relations and Communications Assistant Apprentice. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to achieve a Level 4 Apprenticeship, working within the dynamic and forward-thinking Media and Content team.
This role is ideal for someone starting their early career journey.
You will assist the Media & Content team in promoting Historic England's work to newspapers, TV, radio, and websites, as well as creating content for social media channels and the website. Under supervision, you will learn to support colleagues in managing the press office and social media channels.
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract based in our London office, with hybrid working options.
You will work towards completing your PR & Communications Assistant Level 4 apprenticeship over 18 months. 80% of your time will be in the workplace, and 20% will be off-site, completing training with a recognized provider.

You should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be well-organized, and a great team player. Proven experience with Microsoft Office and good written communication skills are essential. Curiosity and a desire to learn are also important.
