Job summary

Barker Ross Group is recruiting for a hands-on PPT Driver in the NN4 area. The role blends PPT operation with general warehouse duties, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.

You will operate a PPT, use handheld scanners, and help maintain stock integrity in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an hourly rate with regular daytime hours for Monday to Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• PPT driving experience is essential.
• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy and good numeracy/literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently.
• Pick and pack orders accurately.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Receive and store stock in designated locations.
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse systems to manage inventory.
• Carry out quality checks on goods moving in and out.
• Report stock discrepancies, damages, or issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised working environment.
• Follow health & safety procedures and site regulations.
• Support the warehouse team to meet daily targets.

PPT Driver Wanted - NN4 Area

Barker Ross is currently recruiting for an experienced PPT Driver to join a busy warehouse operation based in the NN4 area.

Pay & Working Hours

£12.72 per hour

Monday to Friday

13:30-22:00

The Role

As a PPT Driver, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that combines PPT driving with general warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently
• Picking and packing orders accurately
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Receiving and storing stock in designated warehouse locations
• Using handheld scanners and warehouse systems to manage inventory
• Carrying out quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods
• Reporting any stock discrepancies, damages, or operational issues
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures and site regulations
• Supporting the warehouse team to achieve daily targets
