Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking an HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR) to operate from a Manchester depot, joining a small team to service major oil clients and independent customers within the Forecourt Services division. The role involves site tankering, drainage cleaning, and reactive works across forecourts and large drainage sites.

You will receive full training, with opportunities for career progression, a competitive benefits package, and pension. A permanent, full-time role based in Manchester.

Qualifications

  • HGV driver with ADR or non-ADR accepted
  • Drainage/tank cleaning training provided if needed
  • Full training will be given for roles within the Forecourt Services division

Responsibilities

  • Operate as part of a 1–2 person team performing site tankering works including jetting, drain cleaning, interceptor cleaning and services at petrol stations, distribution centres and large drainage sites.
  • Carry out near-miss and potential incident reporting; complete in-house training as required.
  • Liaise with on-site customers to discuss ongoing works and additional services.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all equipment, PPE and tools are in good order and report any damage promptly.
  • Complete all works paperwork accurately and submit timetly to divisional supervision.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and identify opportunities for service enhancements.

Locations - Manchester, Permanent, full-time

Operating from one of our Manchester depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
  • Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
  • Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
  • Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
  • Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
