Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking an HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR) based in Airdrie to join our Forecourt Services team. You will operate in a small two-person crew delivering site tankering work, jetting and drain cleaning at petrol filling stations, distribution centres and large drainage sites across the UK.

You’ll complete all paperwork promptly, liaise with customers on-site, and ensure equipment and vehicles are well maintained.

Qualifications

• HGV driver with ADR or non-ADR accepted.
• Drainage experience isn’t required; full training will be given.
• Permanent, full-time role with opportunities across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a small team to perform site tankering, jetting and drain cleaning at petrol stations and drainage sites.
• Complete works paperwork and submit to supervision in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers on-site to discuss ongoing works and additional services.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, reporting any damage immediately.
• Identify improvements and opportunities with supervision for future works.

Operating from one of our Airdrie depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
