Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking HGV drivers (ADR or non-ADR) for permanent, full-time roles in Manchester. You will operate as part of a small team to perform site tankering works, jetting and drain cleaning at forecourts and drainage sites, while ensuring safety, paperwork and equipment are kept up to standard.

Full training will be provided, no drainage experience is required. Benefits include training opportunities, enhanced leave, pension, life assurance and employee support programs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, including jetting, drain cleaning, interceptor cleaning and servicing at petrol stations and large drainage sites.
  • Carry out near miss and potential incident reporting; in-house training provided.
  • Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and equipment, report any damage to supervision.
  • Complete all paperwork and submit promptly to divisional supervision.
  • Liaise with supervision regarding works and opportunities for improvements.
  • Any other duties within your capability as required.

HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR)

Locations - Manchester, Permanent, full-time

Operating from one of our Manchester depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
  • Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
  • Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
  • Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
  • Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
