Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking an HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR) for permanent, full-time work from our Airdrie depot. You will deliver site tankering and drainage services for major oil clients and independent customers, ensuring safety, compliance and timely paperwork.

The role includes a high degree of manual work, training provided, and opportunities for progression within a values-driven environmental services company.

Qualifications

• Drainage experience not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a 1–2 person team to perform site tankering and jetting works at petrol stations, distribution centres and drainage locations.
• Carry out interceptor cleaning and drainage servicing with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Complete all works paperwork promptly for divisional supervision.
• Liaise with customers on-site to discuss ongoing works and future services.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment, report any damage to supervision.
• Identify root causes and provide long-term solutions to customers.
• Undertake other duties within capability as required.

Operating from one of our Airdrie depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

Operating from one of our Airdrie depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
