Overview

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced M&E PPM Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and small works projects across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to progress their career with strong mentorship and a clear development pathway.

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing M&E service contracts, with technical knowledge in mechanical and/or electrical systems being advantageous. You will oversee the delivery of both PPM and reactive maintenance, working closely with project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure service excellence.

Reports To: Operations Management Team / Managing Director. Location: Crayford office, with travel to sites in London on occasions. Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00. Salary: £55-£65,000 (depending on qualifications and experience).

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive M&E maintenance across multiple client sites.
  • Mobilise new PPM contracts, including asset register population, 60-day reporting, RAMS creation, and documentation management.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to field engineers and supervisors.
  • Lead and oversee mobile engineers and contract supervisors.
  • Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations, KPIs, and compliance standards.
  • Carry out life cycle costing, KPI/SLA monitoring, and quality audits, with clear improvement action plans.
  • Identify and implement staff training needs; lead regular team meetings.
  • Manage subcontractor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships through regular communication, reporting, and meetings.
  • Drive compliance with statutory requirements, health & safety, and industry best practice.
  • Undertake HR responsibilities including appraisals, investigations, return-to-work meetings, and recruitment.
  • Manage callout rota and act as Callout Manager when required.
  • Produce monthly management reports; assist with tenders, risk assessments, and specifications.
  • Contribute to business growth through sales targets, developing new opportunities, and representing the business at events.
Essential Background & Experience
  • Proven experience in contract management within M&E or Hard FM services.
  • Strong track record in managing multi-site PPM and reactive maintenance contracts.
  • Supervisory experience, with responsibility for teams and contract performance.
  • Technical trade background in mechanical or electrical disciplines (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
