Are You a Dynamic Teacher Who Loves Variety and Flexibility?

If so, GSL Education are on the lookout for a passionate and adaptable PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher to work across a vibrant primary school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative teacher who enjoys working across different year groups and subjects, ensuring high-quality learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a variety of primary year groups.
  • Maintain continuity of learning by following teachers' planning and contributing to the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual students, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Manage the classroom effectively, promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Mark work and leave detailed feedback for the regular class teacher.
  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to whole-school activities where needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Experience across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different classes and teaching styles with confidence.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
