Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Technology seeks a senior Powertrain electronics engineer to specify, design, test, calibrate and support electrical/electronic systems. You will mentor engineers and lead design reviews, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure integration with broader engineering activities.

You will drive continuous improvement, analyze faults, review designs, and guide teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions on time in a high-performance motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Specify, design and deliver robust electrical/electronic systems and components.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, documentation, drawing review, and design release processes.
• Experience investigating and resolving electrical/electronic faults and driving corrective actions to completion.
• Define requirements, scope work packages, and provide technical direction for complex engineering projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with experience supporting the development of engineers and junior team members.
• Effective planning, prioritisation, and resource management to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead specification, design, integration, and delivery of Powertrain electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
• Investigate and resolve electrical system issues and complete faults and actions promptly.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives, coordinating resources and driving project progress.
• Review and approve designs, providing guidance for robust, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Coordinate design workflows, task allocation, and release processes to ensure on-time delivery and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems and maintain design standards.
