Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Technology in Milton Keynes is seeking a senior Powertrain Electronics Lead responsible for specification, design, testing, calibration and support of Powertrain electrical/electronic systems.

You will mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, coordinate workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure electronics design aligns with broader engineering goals.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to specify, design, and deliver robust electrical and electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, documentation, drawing reviews, and release processes.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/electronic faults and driving corrective actions.
• Ability to define requirements, scope work packages, and guide complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the specification, design, integration, and delivery of Powertrain electrical/electronic systems and associated equipment.
• Investigate and resolve electrical system issues, ensuring faults and assigned actions are completed promptly.
• Support continuous improvement, development, and reliability initiatives, coordinating resources and driving project progress.
• Review and approve designs produced by Engineers and Junior Engineers, providing technical guidance to ensure robust, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Coordinate design workflows, task allocation, documentation, and release processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the required standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and electronic systems, maintain design standards, and contribute to best practices and departmental procedures.
