Red Bull Powertrains offers year-long placements within Electronics & ERS Engineering Design teams in Milton Keynes. You will work hands-on in state‑of‑the‑art facilities, contributing to development and testing of power electronics and ERS components.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to apply mathematical methods.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all stages of the engineering process from conceptual design to live testing.
• Apply engineering design principles to develop power unit components.
• Support the design, testing and development of electronic components for the Energy Recovery System (ERS).
• Assist with power electronics design including high‑power inverters, DC/DC converters and control circuits.
• Build, test and debug electronic components and systems.
• Develop and improve test rigs and software (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand).
• Create and update test procedures for electronic components.
• Analyse test data and report insights to stakeholders.
• Follow safety procedures and prepare risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Technical and Testing teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Gain exposure to the 2027 Formula 1 season and the future of Red Bull Powertrains.
