Steer Automotive Group, the UK’s leading Accident Repair group, is seeking an experienced and business-minded Data Analyst with PowerBI expertise to enhance its existing PowerBI reporting suite.

Reporting to the Director of Strategy, the successful candidate will have experience in PowerBI reporting and app development, capable of enhancing current platforms and working with business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making.

The candidate should be proficient in PowerBI and DAX, with experience in creating dynamic, user-friendly reports, and familiarity with PowerBI Apps, PowerAutomate, and Microsoft Fabric is advantageous. Ability to analyze large semantic models and present insights engagingly is essential.

Key objectives of the role

• Further develop Steer’s PowerBI reporting suite for company-wide use.
• Innovate and create new reports, establish data feeds, and explore business opportunities through data analysis and engagement with senior leadership across departments.
• Maintain and administer PowerBI reports in collaboration with the IT team.
• Enhance user engagement strategies to promote the use of reporting tools throughout the group.
• Produce professional reports in PowerPoint for board-level presentations.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerQuery, and related tools to build semantic models.
• Experience with DAX, advanced Excel formulas, and familiarity with M, R, SQL, or VBA is a plus.
• Create intuitive, engaging reports that effectively present data to users.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint.
