Job description

This is a 6-month contract to work with the project team, assessed as outside IR35.

We are seeking an individual with experience in business/data analysis to collaborate directly with stakeholders across the UK (on-site). The role involves understanding processes and requirements to develop business logic for PowerBI reports.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with business users to interpret requirements into data models and analytical solutions.
• Facilitating workshops and documenting outcomes, including requirements, functional specifications, design, and data models.
• Contributing to BI strategy and architecture, ensuring scalable and strategic designs.
• Developing and optimizing components of the solution for high performance with large data volumes from multiple sources.
• Managing and governing multiple data sources within Microsoft Fabric for streamlined data management and analytics.
• Utilizing Microsoft Analytics tools for integration and user interface development.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing SQL queries for data accuracy and performance.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Demonstrable experience with Dynamics F&O (prerequisite).
• Strong data and business analysis skills, with experience working with business users to define outcomes and retrofit source data from applications.
• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI.
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Experience with data ingestion, integration, transformation, storage, and management.
• Knowledge of data lake/data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Understanding of Medallion architecture (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
