Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Planner for the Power Transmission & Distribution team in the Motherwell Office. You will update and maintain Primavera P6 programmes for OHL and Cabling projects and support weekly/monthly reports in line with the timetable.

The role is office-based at least 4 days per week, 37.5 hours. You will interact with project teams to plan, monitor, and optimize project progress and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Proven experience with Primavera P6 on Power Transmission projects.
• Essential: Operational experience managing construction projects in Primavera P6.
• Essential: Working knowledge of Project Management methodology.
• Desirable: NEC3 contract environment experience.
• Desirable: APMP or APM Practitioner Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, structure and lead the planning of the project programme.
• Manage interface between programme and operations through meetings and reporting.
• Highlight dependencies and interfaces between stakeholders.
• Identify programme risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Identify programme opportunities and propose capture strategies.
• Maintain a fully logically linked Primavera P6 programme.
• Ensure the schedule is resourced and updated for execution changes.
• Update and report progress of the project to the Regional Planning Manager and Project Manager.
• Report on key resources including staff, plant and equipment.
