Job Description:

The Power System Technician will provide a technical engineering service with minimal supervision in mechanical & electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision, and installation.

Location:

This role is based in North East England.

Role Details:

Reporting to the team manager, the Power Systems Technician will be part of a multi-skilled team serving the North East England area. Responsibilities include responding to faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, supporting upgrades, maintaining records, working flexibly, ensuring equipment performance, engaging with customers, supervising contractors, participating in 24/7 callouts, working safely, and potentially training to climb for transmission roles. The role involves lone working in remote locations.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driving license
  • Time-served electrician (NVQ 3)
  • City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 for inspection and testing
Required Expertise:
  • Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years conducting EICRs
  • Fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams
  • Knowledge of BS7671 requirements
  • Experience with three-phase systems
