Job summary

Mint Selection is seeking experienced Power Systems Engineers for contract opportunities supporting renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects. These roles will focus on the analysis, design, and optimisation of electrical power networks across renewable energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

Responsibilities include load flow, short‑circuit and stability studies, grid connection assessments, model development in PSCAD/DIgSILENT/PSS/E, and ensuring grid code

Qualifications

• Power systems engineering experience in utilities, transmission, or renewables.
• Understanding UK Grid Code requirements and network analysis.
• Experience with PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or PSS/E software.
• Strong analytical and technical reporting skills.
• Electrical engineering qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis.
• Support grid connection studies for renewable energy projects and power infrastructure.
• Develop and validate power system models using industry software tools.
• Assess network performance, reliability, and grid code compliance.
• Support planning, protection, and control activities across projects.
• Coordinate with engineering and project delivery teams.
