Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Power Systems engineer to lead and deliver a range of studies and grid-connection projects within the Power Systems team. You will bid and win work, mentor team members, and maintain strong client relationships while applying advanced software tools.

You will work across multiple projects, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery, with opportunities for Chartership and professional development in a collaborative, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• Experience in power systems consulting.
• A network of industry contacts and clients.
• Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements.
• Focus on quality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting work related to power systems studies and analysis, especially control interaction studies.
• Provide technical and project management leadership to support the project team.
• Ensure technical quality of delivery for projects, reports and proposals.
• Build and maintain client relationships to position power systems services and win future business.
• Lead development and delivery of project proposals and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead on excellence in power systems software packages (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, IPSA, CDEGs).
