Job summary

United Infrastructure Power, based in Warrington, invites applications for an experienced Proposals Manager to lead bid preparation for major power projects in the UK. You will coordinate engineering, commercial, estimating, procurement, legal, HSE, and project teams to develop competitive, compliant proposals that win business.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years in bid management, and strong technical writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in proposal or bid management within the power, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or EPC sectors.
• Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, substations, or renewable energy projects.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end proposal and tender process.
• Review tender documents and develop bid strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, commercial, estimating, procurement, legal, HSE, and project teams.
• Prepare, review, and submit high-quality technical and commercial proposals.
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
• Manage proposal schedules, documentation, and version control.
• Identify commercial and technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support client clarifications and post-submission activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of proposal processes and templates.
