Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer for a central London contract. The role delivers hands-on design, development and enhancement of Power Platform solutions in a secure environment, with a focus on Canvas Apps, Dataverse modelling and Copilot Studio.

You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, integrate with Microsoft and third-party platforms, and produce technical documentation while following

Qualifications

• Strong Power Apps development experience, especially Canvas Apps.
• Solid Dataverse knowledge and data modelling experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and web tech (HTML/JS).
• Experience delivering Power Platform solutions in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Power Platform Developer

£520/day Outside IR35 - Central London (3 days per week) - Active SC Clearance Required - NPPV3 Desirable - Contract until 31 March 2027

We're seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to join a major programme within a secure environment.

This is a hands-on delivery role focused on the design, development and enhancement of Power Platform solutions. You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop scalable applications, automate business processes and support the delivery of business-critical services.

The successful candidate will have strong experience developing Power Apps solutions, particularly Canvas Apps, alongside a solid understanding of Dataverse and data modelling. You'll also bring experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and be comfortable engaging directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse
• Develop Canvas Apps and support data model design within Dataverse

Required experience:

• Strong Power Apps development experience, particularly Canvas Apps
• Strong understanding of Dataverse and data modelling
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio
• Experience developing solutions using HTML, JavaScript and related web technologies
• Experience delivering Power Platform solutions within enterprise environments
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Active SC Clearance

Desirable:

• NPPV3 Clearance
• Dynamics 365 experience
• Azure services and integrations
• Power Platform governance and Centre of Excellence (CoE) experience
• Previous experience delivering within policing, law enforcement or wider public sector environments

This role would suit an experienced Power Platform Developer, Senior Power Platform Developer, Dynamics 365 Developer or Power Platform Consultant looking for a long-term programme where they can remain hands-on while working on complex, high-profile solutions.
