Job summary

VIQU Limited is seeking a Power Platform Analyst to deliver reporting across a Microsoft Dataverse-based platform used by an NHS client. The role focuses on native Dataverse reporting within Model-Driven Apps, with broader duties in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to support scalable, governed reporting.

You will design, develop and optimise operational and workflow reporting, assess when to use native Dataverse reporting or Power BI, and drive governance, security and performance improvements

Power Platform Analyst (Dataverse & Reporting) - Contract - Remote / Cardiff

VIQU have partnered with an NHS organisation seeking a Power Platform Analyst to support the delivery of reporting solutions across a digital platform built on Microsoft Dataverse and Model-Driven Apps.

The successful Power Platform Analyst will focus primarily on native Model-Driven App and Dataverse reporting, including operational, validation and workflow-supporting reporting within the application itself. Alongside this, you will utilise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric where reporting requirements justify a more advanced analytical approach, helping to deliver a scalable and governed reporting capability across the platform.

• Design, develop and optimise reporting solutions within Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse environments
• Build and maintain native operational reporting using Dataverse views, lists, filters and security-aware reporting approaches
• Develop reporting solutions using FetchXML and other Dataverse reporting capabilities
• Support validation, operational and workflow-driven reporting requirements within business applications
• Assess reporting requirements and determine whether they are best delivered natively within the application or through Power BI
• Develop and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models where analytical reporting is required
• Support reporting governance, security, performance optimisation and embedded reporting approaches across the platform

• Strong hands-on experience as a Power Platform Analyst with Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse reporting expertise
• Experience developing native operational reporting using Dataverse views, filters and reporting components
• Experience working with FetchXML and Dataverse data structures
• Proven understanding of operational reporting requirements within application environments
• Ability to differentiate between reporting requirements that should remain within Model-Driven Apps and those better suited to Power BI
• Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling, DAX and report optimisation
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Embedded, Dataverse and wider Power Platform technologies
