Job summary

Hunter Savage is seeking several Power Stations Operations Technicians to support two major power generation sites in County Antrim. The roles are based across Kilroot and Ballylumford with an initial Monday–Friday training period and then a rotating 12-hour shift, days/nights/weekends, onsite.

The programme provides comprehensive technical training and a clear two-to-three year development path, with a starting salary of £42,000 to £47,000 and permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Practical technical experience in engineering or a technically focused environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and practical problem solving.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor power generation plant and associated systems.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential faults.
• Start, synchronise, load and shut down generating units.
• Respond to alarms and changing plant conditions.
• Apply plant isolations to support safe maintenance.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, reports and shift handovers.
• Develop knowledge across mechanical, electrical and process systems.
