Job summary

EP UK Investments Ltd is seeking an Operations Technician (G2) at South Humber Bank Power Station. The role focuses on operating and maintaining the power plant to ensure safe electricity production, compliance and value delivery.

The position works on a 24/7/365 rotating shift, averaging 37 hours per week, reporting to the Shift Engineer. The role requires capability with HS&E standards and the ability to work with high-technology equipment.

Qualifications

• Background in power generation (desirable).
• Experience with laboratory analysis equipment and techniques (essential).

Responsibilities

• Operate and/or maintain plant areas with HS&E compliance focus.
• Supervise work activities and ensure site compliance and Business Management System alignment.
• Assist Shift Engineer with Permit to Work and safety procedures.
• Develop and implement task plans with resource management and scheduling.
• Manage smaller contracts and monitor performance with the team.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure safe production.
• Maintain station logs for statutory compliance.
• Coordinate gas nomination and liaise with traders and National Grid.
• Notify and act on issues affecting HS&E and production.
• Compile operational data and handover between shifts for continuity.
