Co-ordination of activity and the provision of support within the Power Operations team to ensure bilateral counterparty trades, cleared exchange volumes, and cross-border capacity transmissions are acquired/nominated to European TSOs, aligning with the Trading Desks' strategy to maximize profit and meet operational deadlines and market rules, minimizing financial and regulatory impacts.

Assuming responsibility for specific activities or projects as defined by Power Operations management.

Main responsibilities

Alongside competence in Power Operations shift tasks (preferably with exposure to OSG activity/SCF), the Power Operations supervisor will have the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily shift activities
• Troubleshoot operational issues during daily activities
• Provide on-call support and remote login to resolve issues if necessary
• Maintain all aspects related to the shift, including reviewing and updating tools and processes to ensure platform excellence
• Resolve complex imbalance queries with counterparts, PX, or TSOs regularly
• Train new team members on the general use of systems like Spark, Power Logistics/PowerHub, SGEP, Trade Capture, and others used in Power Operations
• Coordinate known events and market/activity changes
• Plan and implement assigned one-off projects
• Participate in first-line management, planning, and performance monitoring
• Perform other duties as directed by the manager

Technical requirements

• Understand the electrical transmission system and interconnections across European grids
• Deep understanding of Joule, Spark, SGEP, PowerHub, Power Logistics, and the trade lifecycle
• Knowledge of nomination logic, communication formats, and troubleshooting nomination issues from source (XML) to sink (TSO platform)
• Proficiency with external/internal IT systems for nominations, capacities, and exchanges, especially in France and neighboring countries
• Understanding of EDF's historical Long-Term contracts
• Proficiency in at least one other European language, preferably French
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Experience with VBA or other programming languages is advantageous

Hours of work
