Job summary

Analog Devices, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, invites an Analog Design Intern in Edinburgh to join a collaborative engineering team. You will work on low-power analog IP for mixed-signal ICs, contributing to architecture, circuit design, modelling, and verification while learning through hands-on projects in a respected tech environment.

You will gain experience in DC/DC converters, block-level design, and system-level modelling, with opportunities for mentorship and potential

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Strong understanding of analog electronics and circuit theory.
Familiarity with CMOS devices and transistor-level operation.
Experience with circuit simulation tools through coursework or projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct circuit architecture research and feasibility studies for low-power power-management functions.
Contribute to the architecture, design, simulation and verification of DC/DC converter IP, including buck, boost and buck-boost topologies.
Design and analyse analog sub-circuits used within power converters and protection functions.
Develop simulation testbenches and contribute to design verification across process, voltage, temperature and loading conditions.
Work with layout engineers during physical implementation and review parasitics.
