Job summary

Arm is seeking a highly skilled Power Intent/UPF Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team in the UK. You will define and validate UPF files, optimize PDN and power distribution for complex SoCs, and work with multi-functional teams to drive power-efficient compute solutions.

The role emphasizes designing robust power architectures, improving flows, and enabling partners with clear power intent strategies across hierarchical domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Solid understanding of power intent concepts, including voltage islands, power domains, power states, and power control architectures.
• Proficiency in UPF 2.0/2.1/3.0/3.1 (Unified Power Format) and experience in low power formal verification
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement power intent specifications for SoC designs and produce/validate UPF files across hierarchical domains.
• Investigate tradeoffs in Power Domain Network and power distribution to optimize power intent.
• Enable partners to achieve high-quality results through robust power planning and verification.
