Arm in Cambridge is seeking a Power Intent / UPF Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team. You will define power intent specifications for SoCs, ensuring power efficiency and performance across compute solutions.

You will produce and validate UPF files, explore PDN tradeoffs, and help partners achieve high-quality outcomes. The role emphasizes collaboration, driving design flows and scripting for automation in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong understanding of power intent concepts including voltage islands and power domains.
• Proficiency in UPF 2.0/2.1/3.0/3.1 and low power formal verification.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record in power intent definition and verification.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement power intent specifications for SoC designs.
• Produce, maintain and validate UPF files across hierarchical domains.
• Investigate tradeoffs in Power Domain Network and distribution.
• Enable partners to achieve high-quality results.
