Job summary

OCU Group in Scotland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial delivery on major power infrastructure projects, including substation and BESS schemes. You will support tender handover through final account, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered commercially, safely and to programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure, power, utilities, energy or construction projects.
• Experience managing project costs, valuations, applications for payment, and subcontractor accounts.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management principles.
• Experience on substation, BESS or energy infrastructure projects is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support applications for payment, valuations, invoicing, and cash collection activities.
• Administer contracts, subcontractor accounts, variations, and change control processes.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including tender evaluation and negotiation.
• Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and margins.
• Assist in final accounts preparation and agreement.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support mitigation strategies.
• Build relationships with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
