Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking a Power Sector Development Director to lead growth across the UK and international power market. This senior, market-facing role focuses on strategy, relationship-building and winning work in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

The role is hybrid, based from a UK office (London, Bath, Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh). You will shape market propositions and drive long-term value within our multidisciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within the power/energy sector or adjacent infrastructure sectors.
• Strong track record in business development, market growth and client engagement.
• Established network of senior industry contacts and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a growth strategy for the power and energy transition sector.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with utilities, transmission/distribution operators, renewable developers and public-sector stakeholders.
• Identify new market opportunities and create clear, differentiated client propositions.
• Lead business development, client engagement and work-winning activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to align market opportunities with multidisciplinary capabilities.
• Provide strategic market insight to support long-term growth and diversification.
• Represent Buro Happold at industry forums, conferences and client networks.
