This role is structured around three core areas: team leadership and development, technical oversight of the product design life cycle, and operational process management. • Manage team resource allocation and project assignments to ensure operational targets and project milestones are met.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, facilitating regular communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Act as the primary interface between the team and other departments, including project management and senior leadership.
  • In close cooperation with lead experts, provide technical direction and oversight for the design, development, and validation of converter power electronics.
  • Ensure a strong setup for managing review and approving key technical deliverables, including design specifications, schematics, and test reports, to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Be involved in the design detail when required, acting as design support.
  • Ensure the team’s adherence to all organizational policies, engineering practices, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor team activities and project progress, providing regular status reports to management.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline development processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning for the UK Converter System group and be a strong partner for the head of department in developing and creating a strong integrated team across the two UK locations in Keele and Glasgow.
What you Bring
