Axon Moore are pleased to be working with a well-established and reputable company based in North Manchester to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Finance team driving Power BI adoption and modernising reporting processes.

The role requires 2 years' experience in financial reporting, strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset. Power BI experience is desirable, with study support available for ACCA/CIMA and a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a financial reporting/finance analyst role.
• Confident user of Excel with intermediate level functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.
• Experience working with Power BI would be desirable and willingness to learn.
• A degree in an IT/Finance/STEM related subject would be desirable.
• Good confidence levels and commercial awareness, able to build relationships and influence at all levels within the business.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provision and analysis of daily, weekly and monthly financial and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear, actionable insights to support informed business decisions.
• Maintenance, development and enhancement of reporting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business users to translate reporting requirements into effective solutions.
• Take ownership of cost centre reporting with variance analysis and commentary for budget management.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, opportunities and areas of concern.
• Support the Finance department with annual budgeting data analysis and consolidation.
• Provide ongoing financial and data analysis support to stakeholders and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Work with the Financial Data and Analytics team to implement and develop Power BI across the business.
• Assist in developing automated and streamlined reporting processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
