Job summary

London Stock Exchange is seeking a Power BI Development Manager to lead enterprise reporting across Group Investment Management. You will balance hands-on BI development with technical leadership, shaping standards and governance while guiding a team of BI professionals.

Working with partners across Technology, Finance and Transformation, you will translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions, optimise performance and influence analytics strategy across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Power BI experience with advanced DAX and semantic modelling.
• Strong SQL and SQL Server knowledge with data warehousing and dimensional modelling experience.
• Design and support scalable reporting solutions with governance, testing, security and release management.
• Lead technical or analytics teams and support their growth and development.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to senior decision-makers.
• Experience in Agile delivery and managing changing priorities to deliver business value.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform or similar cloud analytics technologies.

• The Group Investment Management (GIM) Tooling & Data team provides the reporting, analytics and insights that support investment planning and portfolio management across LSEG
• Working closely with colleagues across Technology, Finance and Transformation, the team delivers trusted reporting that helps leaders understand investment performance, monitor delivery progress and make informed decisions
• As demand for data-driven decision making continues to grow, the team is evolving its reporting and analytics capabilities, creating opportunities to improve how information is delivered, consumed and acted upon across the organisation
• We’re looking for a Power BI Development Manager to lead the development and support of enterprise reporting solutions used across Group Investment Management
• This role combines technical leadership with hands‑on Power BI development, offering the opportunity to shape reporting standards, improve team capability and influence the future direction of analytics within the function
• Reporting to the GIM Dashboards Owner, the position balances day‑to‑day delivery with longer‑term improvements to reporting architecture, governance and service quality
• Success in the role comes from combining strong technical expertise with sound judgement, helping teams deliver practical solutions that are scalable, maintainable and aligned to business needs
• Lead and develop a team of Power BI professionals, providing coaching, technical guidance and clear delivery priorities
• Manage the reporting roadmap, backlog and delivery commitments, balancing competing priorities while maintaining service quality
• Work closely with business partners to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into practical solutions and provide clear recommendations
• Design, build and optimise Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations and reporting architecture
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions from source through to reporting
• Establish reporting standards, governance processes, testing approaches and release controls that improve consistency and quality
• Resolve complex reporting and performance issues, identifying opportunities to improve usability, resilience and efficiency across the reporting estate
• You’ll lead a highly visible reporting capability that supports investment and transformation leaders across LSEG. The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership experience and the ability to build strong relationships across a wide range of teamsExtensive hands‑on Power BI experience, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), semantic modelling, performance optimisation and enterprise reportingStrong SQL and SQL Server knowledge, with experience of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and data transformationExperience designing and supporting scalable reporting solutions, including governance, testing, security and release managementProven experience leading technical or analytics teams and supporting their growth and developmentAbility to explain technical concepts clearly, challenge constructively and build confidence with senior decision-makersExperience working within Agile delivery environments, managing changing priorities and delivering measurable business valueExperience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform or similar cloud analytics technologiesKnowledge of Power Automate, AI-enabled reporting or automation technologiesFamiliarity with Clarity, Jira, Oracle Fusion or similar enterprise platformsExperience applying process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma
