Job summary

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT LTD in Kidlington is seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant for a temporary contract. The role involves developing and supporting Power BI semantic models, datasets, reports and dashboards within a data warehousing environment.

Power BI Consultant needed in Kidlington

This is a temporary contract and the rate is £550.00 per day Umbrella

The successful candidate will be an experienced Power BI professional with strong expertise in developing and supporting Power BI semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards within a data warehousing environment. They will provide hands-on technical support, mentoring and consultancy to analysts and developers, helping teams maximise the use of modern reporting tools and transition from legacy reporting platforms.

The role requires excellent knowledge of Power BI, DAX, M language, T- SQL, data modelling, dataset design, and SQL data warehouses, alongside the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The successful candidate will also deliver training, support best practice adoption, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and analytics capabilities. Experience working in a consultancy, mentoring or support capacity is essential, while exposure to government, policing, national security environments, Microsoft Fabric, or relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous.
