Job description

iO Associates are partnered with a Marketing Business, headquartered in Cardiff, who are currently looking for a Power BI Analyst to join the team on a contract basis. They are aiming for someone to start at the end in early February, therefore interviews will be looking to happen around the end of January. This role will sit in the Finance Team so relevant experience is preferable.

Job Title: Power BI Analyst

Location: Exeter or Cardiff - 2 days on site

Length - 3 months initial

Day Rate: £400 Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse current data sources to evaluate their quality, relevance, and suitability for reporting purposes.
• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for senior management.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reports align with business objectives.
• Conduct training sessions for the existing team on Power BI best practices, features, and functionalities.

We are looking for someone with:

• Comprehensive understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to train and support team members effectively.
• Familiarity with SQL, DAX, and other data manipulation languages is highly desirable.
