Job summary

Financial Ombudsman Service is seeking a Solution Architect to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform and other cloud technologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, craft high-level designs, and ensure alignment with business strategy and governance.

You’ll work at the heart of our Change Gateway process, guiding initiatives from early-stage problem framing through to solution design and delivery. Collaborating with a Virtual Team of technical and business experts, you’ll lead the creation of solution visions that are innovative, practical, and aligned with our strategic principles.

What you’ll do

What we’re looking for as a minimum criterion

• Experience designing solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
• Strong understanding of application development, integration, and cloud platforms.
• Skilled in producing solution documentation, including solution visions and high-level designs.
• Evidence of excellent communication and facilitation skills – you are recognised for leading discussions with business and technology stakeholders and can translate technical to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity. You are curious and open open-minded in exploring how best to leverage the existing technology landscape to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes
• You don’t need to be an expert in every technology we use— but you should bring deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform eco-system, along with a broad understanding of how the others contribute to end-to-end solutions.
