Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group are recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater to join the client’s team in HX2, Halifax. This is a stable, long-term role within a busy manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with powder coating, painting, or finishing experience.

The successful candidate will prepare, coat, and finish steel products to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the process. This role runs Monday to Friday with no weekend work and offers overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Powder Coater or similar role in steel/fabrication environments.
• Knowledge of preparation and finishing processes for powder coatings.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel products for powder coating by cleaning, masking and surface prep.
• Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply powder coatings evenly to components and finished products.
• Load/unload parts on coating lines and production areas.
• Monitor ovens for correct temperature and finish quality.
• Inspect finished products against quality standards.
• Carry out visual quality checks and report defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Support the wider production team as needed.

Powder Coater

Location: HX2, Halifax
Pay Rate: £15.22 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday (No weekend work)

Venatu Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater to join our client’s team in HX2, Halifax. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Powder Coater, Industrial Painter, or Paint Sprayer looking for a stable, long-term role within a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing steel products to a high standard, ensuring quality, consistency, and attention to detail throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing steel products for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation
• Operating powder coating equipment safely and efficiently
• Applying powder coatings evenly to steel components and finished products
• Loading and unloading parts onto coating lines, racks, and production areas
• Monitoring curing ovens to ensure correct temperature settings and finish quality
• Inspecting completed products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Carrying out visual quality checks and reporting any issues or defects
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider production team when required

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Powder Coater, Powder Coating Operative, Industrial Painter, Spray Painter, or similar role
• Experience working with steel products, fabrication, or metal finishing environments is preferred
• Knowledge of preparation and finishing processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and positive approach to work
