Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Grantham is hiring a Farm Assistant to support our broiler farm operations. You will help prepare poultry houses, monitor welfare, feeding, ventilation and records, and travel between farms as needed. No prior experience required; you’ll learn from experienced Farm Managers and gain hands-on skills in modern poultry production.

Hours are 5 days in 7 with an hourly rate of £13.12. The role emphasizes health, welfare, biosecurity, and teamwork as you contribute to flock

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day running of broiler farms.
• Preparing poultry houses for incoming eggs and chicks.
• Monitoring bird welfare, feed, water, ventilation and environmental conditions.
• Assisting with vaccination, weighing, catching and flock management activities.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, biosecurity and farm presentation.
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Keeping accurate farm records.
• Travelling between farms to support operational requirements.
• Learning all aspects of modern poultry production and farm management.
• Following company health & safety, welfare and environmental standards at all times.
