Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Delivery Postie with Driving in Oban. The role involves delivering letters and parcels on a 37-hour week, Monday to Saturday, with a driving licence required and full uniform provided. This permanent contract offers a pension and career development opportunities.

You will work outdoors in all weather, be a friendly community presence and provide excellent customer service at every delivery point.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to deliver confidently to customers in the community.
• Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to a designated route in Oban and surrounding areas.
• Provide excellent customer service and a friendly presence in the community.
• Adhere to safety, security and operational procedures at all times.
• Maintain delivery records and handle items with care.
• Work 37 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 09:45–17:00.
