Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Newport is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed term 6‑month contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and operate on a rotating shift including Sundays, on a 30‑hour week across 5 days.

You’ll work outdoors in all weathers, build relationships with customers, and complete a driving assessment for a full UK licence. Full training is provided with a uniform and a reliable, rewarding role in the community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (required)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit to walk long distances and handle mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and customer-focused
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
