Job Opportunity: Postgres DBA (Contract)

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Postgres Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team on a contract basis. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform installations, monitoring, and management of database systems.
2. Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using appropriate toolsets.
3. Monitor systems and set up alert mechanisms to ensure database health and performance.
4. Design and produce best practice documentation for enterprise-level solutions.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience with Ansible and Git for automation and version control.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery tools and monitoring solutions such as Splunk and Repostor.
• Ability to undertake installations, monitoring, and alert system setup.
