University of Oxford's Faculty of History invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Research Degrees Officer based in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities in Oxford.

This maternity-cover post supports 350 postgraduate researchers and reports to the Academic Administration Manager. The role requires strong administration experience, ideally in higher education, excellent communication, discretion with confidential information, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, preferably in higher education or a similar field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Faculty's 350 postgraduate (PGR) students as they progress through their research degree programmes.
• Provide expert advice and administration on matters related to PGR students.
• Support to the Academic Administration Manager, Education Manager and Director of Graduate Studies.
