Job summary

SMALP in Bath seeks a postdoctoral researcher with a background in chemical biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology to contribute to an interdisciplinary project focused on intracellular peptide screening technologies and transcription factor function in mammalian cells.

You will design and perform experiments, analyze data, and work within an interdisciplinary team. The position includes full training and opportunities for publication and collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, organic chemistry or related field.
• Practical lab experience in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, peptide chemistry or protein biochemistry.
• Experience designing, conducting and troubleshooting experiments with strong analytical skills.
• Interest in protein–protein interactions, transcriptional regulation and development of innovative molecular tools.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to an interdisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to contribute to publications.
