Cambridge University Press & Assessment and University of Cambridge Libraries & Archives are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead an action research project on how researchers publish and share work. You will collaborate across university libraries, the press, and research communities to generate evidence and develop practical recommendations for open research and attribution.

• Experience developing research objectives and conducting qualitative or mixed-methods studies.
• Ability to interpret findings rigorously and write for publication.
• Understanding research ethics, consent and responsible data management.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a rigorous research programme, refining research questions and methods.
• Design, deploy, and analyse a survey of Cambridge researchers to establish a baseline.
• Review evidence on research credit, attribution, and dissemination models.
• Conduct qualitative research with STEM and AHSS teams, including interviews.
• Co-design, facilitate and evaluate practical interventions with researchers.
• Plan and support cross-disciplinary workshops and engagement.
• Analyse and communicate findings through a final open project report and conference contributions.
• Coordinate day-to-day research activity, documentation, and milestones.
