The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in avian influenza modelling. You will develop cutting-edge multi-scale models using demographic, environmental and phylogenetic data to inform control strategies in the US and UK, and contribute to disseminating outputs.

You will work with collaborators from Colorado State University and the Universities of Warwick and Liverpool, with opportunities for international visits and career development in infectious disease

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrable expertise in modern simulation modelling and machine learning.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on modelling dynamics of avian influenza circulation in cattle and other species.
• Collaborate with international partners and disseminate project outputs.
