Job summary

The University of Dundee invites applications for a Full-time, on-site Postdoctoral Research Assistant (Grade 6) to join the Antigen Discovery Group in the School of Life Sciences. The appointment is fixed-term for 1 year, with a closing date of 18 September 2026.

You will work on host-virus immune interactions, conduct MS-based sample preparation and data analysis, and help generate proteomic datasets while collaborating with international teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in viral immunology or closely related field (desirable).
• Experience with mass spectrometry and proteomics techniques.
• Background in biomedical sciences or molecular virology.

Responsibilities

• Manage the laboratory and ordering consumables for sample processing.
• Lead MS-related sample preparation and data analysis.
• Generate proteomic and immunopeptidome datasets from cells and tissues.
• Assist in writing research reports and publications.
• Coordinate with internal and external collaborators.
